Our Team...

Here you will find photos and brief details of the team working at the practice. This is not an exhaustive list, but all our staff will give you their names and roles on request. For those of us who directly provide medical care, we have tried to include specific areas covered by each team member.

Meet the Doctors

Please note that the doctors' consultation times are very variable, as they often have meetings, other commitments and holidays, so we have not published them individually here. In general, morning surgeries run from 8.30am to 11am, and afternoons from 3-5.30pm. Also note that some of the doctors' sessions are undertaken at Bury Road surgery, where a few early appointments are offered from 8am, rather than our main site, but you will be informed of this when booking to see them. We are also currently able to offer a limited number of prebooked evening and Saturday morning appointments.

Doctors areas of special interest are also shown where relevant.

As well as providing patient care, the doctors are also the owners of the surgery premises, employers of most of the staff, and directors of the surgery as a business. Find out more about our role in the NHS here.

Meet Your Nursing Team

Our fully trained practice nurses provide support services including cervical smears, immunisation, advice on nursing and dietary problems and advice on stopping smoking. The nurses also play a large part in the clinics specified below:

Sister Nicola STAFFORD

Nicola will be joining us in January, and after a period of mentorship by the doctors will begin seeing minor illness cases in her own right. She is a former nurse practitioner at Rochdale Walk-In Centre, so has plenty of experience in this area, and is in training to become a nurse prescriber.

For each session that she holds a surgery, one of the doctors will be nominated to provide cover, mostly just for telephone advice/reference purposes, but the nominated doctor will also be available to see patients referred on by Nicola if, following her assessment she feels that the patients needs would best be met by this course of action. The doctor may wish to see such patients together with Nicola as a training exercise.
Nicola will also be helping our practice nurses with some aspects of management of chronic illness cases.

Along with the clinic co-ordinator,

Attached Staff

We have working with us a large team of health visitors, district nurses, midwives dietitians, community matrons and others who are not directly employed by the practice but either use office space or hold clinic sessions at the surgery. We will occasionally give details of their comings and goings in our newsletters, and have published photos of some of them here.

For more details about the clinics they hold, see our surgery/clinic guide.
